Secure, flexible, and cost effective - the advantages of printed electronics

Dr. Kaminska and her research team

Dr. Bozena Kaminska’s progressive research into organic semiconductors and printed electronics has led to innovative, industry-viable nanotechnology. The related sophisticated security devices for defense and law enforcement markets are being commercially developed by two of her many ventures, NanoTech Security Corporation and I|D|ME Development Corporation. She is a professor at the School of Engineering Science, Simon Fraser University and Canada Research Chair in Wireless Sensor Networks.

The global economy owes much of its success to the silicon wafer chip, but Dr. Bozena Kaminska insists that we are quickly  outgrowing this technology. The Simon Fraser University School of Engineering Science professor has been exploring the prospects of printed circuitry, an approach that promises to reduce the cost and technical constraints associated with the mass manufacturing of electronic products.
