Our core competencies differentiate CMC from other national and international organizations and underpin a new and accelerated approach to microsystems research and technology development and increased commercialization that will garner greater economic and social benefit for Canadians.

CMC supports microsystems discovery, applied research and technology development, with a focus on prototypes for validation of research ideas and commercial potential.

CMC Microsystems' core competencies are in:

  • Developing and operating a national research infrastructure program that increases Canada's productivity in microsystems research and technology development
  • Building partnerships and implementing cost-reduction strategies that greatly increase the magnitude of resources available to clients
