This year the main conference theme is “Energizing Chemistry” with an emphasis on Energy. In addition to the usual broadly based scientific program, symposia emphasizing chemistry relevant to all facets of the energy industry will be organized in several divisions. Program highlights will include the opening address by Prof. Paul Alivisatos, Director of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory at UC Berkeley, and a symposium showcasing the best Canadian graduate students engaged in energy related research that they are calling “Energy Futures”.
