Cadence Analog/Mixed Signal Design Methodology Course

The course is ideal for those interested in learning the Cadence design environment, A/MS design methodology, and/or are interested in providing training and/or support in the area of A/MS design targeting the Cadence design environment. 

Description

This 5-day, hands-on training course, organized by CMC Microsystems, is targeting the Cadence Analog/Mixed Signal Design Methodology Kit, also available from CMC Microsystems. The course covers the design methodology and Cadence software used for the development and simulation of analog blocks, digital blocks, and their integration in a mixed signal design. The course will follow the same outline as the Cadence A/MS Design Methodology Kit and cover the following modules:

  1. AMS Design Flow Overview
  2. Design Environment Infrastructure
  3. Design Partitioning
  4. Design Concept Validation
  5. AMS Constraint-Driven Block Creation
  6. Block IP Characterization
  7. External IP Import
  8. Floorplanning
  9. Design Functional Verification
  10. Digital Block Authoring
  11. Design Physical Assembly
  12. Design Physical Verification
  13. Post-Layout Design Sign-Off Functional Verification

Training materials will be provided at the course.  Event seats for individuals other than university employees are available on a space-available basis.
