National Microelectronics and Photonics Testing Collaboratory
The National Microelectronics and Photonics Testing Collaboratory (NMPTC) enables local and remote access to advanced test laboratories, providing a virtual extension to the laboratories of researchers at over 20 Canadian universities and delivering access to world class microsystems and photonics test resources.
- The labs are staffed by specialist CMC engineers who can help you plan and implement your test program.
- Academic and non-academic access to some of the NMPTC services is delivered under a user fees structure. Where fees are applicable, the hourly rate is significantly discounted for Canadian academic clients. These funds are used for maintenance of the NMPTC infrastructure. Consult the lab web pages for details.
- CMC provides travel assistance, granted under a peer review program, for researchers wishing to perform their testing in these labs in person.
- Not a Canadian academic researcher? The NMPTC is open for business on commercial terms. Contact the lab engineers for more information.
The NMPTC provides national access to state-of-the-art resources for testing and validation of high-performance microchip and system designs that are hosted at CMC’s partner institutes:
