Hamid Arabzadeh is the Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of RANOVUS Inc. www.ranovus.com since 2012 with offices in Ottawa, Mountain View California and Nuremberg Germany. RANOVUS is a leading provider of multi-terabit photonic interconnect solutions for AI/ML infrastructure based on its patented multi-wavelength quantum dot laser and silicon photonics core technologies.
Hamid is the Co-Founder/Co-Funder and Chairman of Toronto and Munich based Identos Inc. www.identos.com since 2014. Identos is the recognized leader in Identity Management and Digital Trust in Canada.
Hamid is the Co-Founder/Co-Funder and Board Member of Toronto based Motive Health www.motivehealth.com since 2016. Motive Health is the leading provider of Intelligent Mobile Billing for Physicians in Canada.
Hamid was formerly the Chairman and CEO of CoreOptics Inc. www.coreoptics.com 2003-2010. CoreOptics was the independent global leader in Digital Signal Processors for 10/40/100Gbps networking applications. CoreOptics was acquired by Cisco Systems https://www.cisco.com in July 2010.
Prior to joining CoreOptics, Hamid was the General Manager and Vice President of Next Generation Metro Optical Networks at Nortel Networks 1995-2002. Throughout his 7.5 years career at Nortel he held various management roles in Mexico, Brazil, and England helping service providers around the world build their next generation telecommunication infrastructure.
Prior to joining Nortel, Hamid was President and Founder of UNICAD Information Systems 1988-1995. UNICAD was a CAD/CAM software development company.
Hamid holds a B.A.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Waterloo 1988 and an M.B.A from McGill University 1995.
Hamid speaks English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Persian, and enjoys tennis, soccer and downhill skiing with his wife and twin boys in Toronto.
