CMC welcomes Georgian College to its member network

July 5, 2018

CMC Microsystems is pleased to welcome Georgian College to its national network of micro-nano innovator institutions.

Membership gives Georgian’s innovators access to CMC’s extensive offering of industrial-grade products and services for designing, making and testing the hardware innovations that are essential to tomorrow’s advanced technologies and products. These resources also help students gain the advanced R&D skills that companies need to compete.

“Access to these tools will enhance our applied research and development capabilities and will allow our researchers to collaborate with industry at a deeper level. Our engineering technology students now have the opportunity to work with tools and products that will help them as innovators in their future careers,” says Mira Ray, Director of Applied Research at Georgian College.

“We are delighted to have Georgian College as part of our innovation network,” says Gord Harling, President and CEO of CMC Microsystems.

“Georgian is expanding its research into design, fabrication and testing of electronic and Radio Frequency circuits and will shortly open a new Advanced Technology, Innovation and Research Centre. They are a valuable addition to our Canada-wide ecosystem of researchers and students. We look forward to helping them advance their innovative research.”
