Her impact has been felt across the spectrum – from industry giants, to startups, to teaching and mentoring the emerging generation of semiconductor talent. Always a tireless advocate for the accomplishments and untapped potential of the Canadian industry, in recent years, she dedicated her efforts to growing the Canadian semiconductor ecosystem. As VP, FABrIC at CMC, she continued that work — and played a critical role getting the initiative off the ground, growing the ecosystem and positioning this generational investment for ongoing success.  

June 26, 2025: Twenty-three recipients representing twenty projects of the first round of FABrIC Challenge Projects were announced today. Leveraging $35.6M in total investment, the $13.4M in funding provided by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), calls on the semiconductor industry to innovate in product and process development to enhance the resilience of the supply chain for Canadian industry, from healthcare to the automotive sector. Managed by CMC Microsystems, FABrIC is a five-year, $223 million initiative to secure Canada’s future in semiconductors.

June 6, 2025: CMC Microsystems had the honour of hosting the 28th World Micromachine Summit, held from June 3-5, 2025. Gordon Harling, President and CEO of CMC, also served as head of the Canadian delegation at this year’s Summit.

May 20, 2025: CMC Microsystems President and CEO Gordon Harling will be one of the keynote speakers at the InnoVex Forum in Taiwan in May of this year. Held concurrently with the COMPUTEX ICT procurement tradeshow, InnoVEX is a unique startup exhibition where firms at any stage of development can connect with partners to grow their business.
