CMC recognizes and rewards training with secure, portable, and shareable digital credentials

What are digital badges?

Badges are credentials – a way to quickly showcase designated achievements and expertise. Badges represent a different or supplemental approach to the documentation of learning. At CMC Microsystems, select courses and achievements have been approved for this recognition, and they require documented evidence that stated learning outcomes have been achieved. CMC Microsystems uses Certifier to create, manage, and award these types of digital credentials.

CMC previously issued digital badges using the Canvas/Badgr platform. As of July 2025, badges are issued via Certifier.io.

Training

Training and Skills digital badges are awarded to individuals who have completed CMC-hosted training.

Webinar

Webinar digital badges recognizes individuals who have attended a CMC-hosted webinar. This badge is awarded directly to individuals via attendee list.

Event

Event digital badges recognizes individuals who have participated in CMC events. This badge is awarded to individuals via attendee list.

Important Privacy Note By registering for training, webinars, or events, you may be offered a digital badge in recognition of your participation. CMC Microsystems will only issue digital badges to participants who have provided explicit consent for their personal information to be shared with our badge issuance platform, Certifier.io. If you previously received a badge via Canvas/Badgr, your data was processed according to the privacy terms in effect at the time.

How to share your new badge

After you’ve completed your training or webinar/event participation, CMC Microsystems will ask for permission to send a digital badge to you via Certifier. Use the link in your email to view your badge and then share to your social media feed on LinkedIn, Facebook, or X (formerly Twitter).

How to add your badge on LinkedIn Certifications

You can add badges to the certification section of your LinkedIn profile. One advantage to using this approach is that the badge is persistently associated with your LinkedIn profile and does not get “lost in the feed.”

In the email from Certifier, click View Credential
A link will open to the Certifier webpage
Next, select the Add to LinkedIn Profile button
After the button has been selected, a new window for LinkedIn will appear
Ensure all pre-populated information is correct, then select Save to add the badge to your LinkedIn profile.
Please note that LinkedIn will change the badge image to the CMC Microsystems logo.
