Lauren Mercier is the Research Program Manager at the Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy (CCEM) at McMaster University, where she manages a large-scale project developing correlative microscopy techniques for characterizing semiconductor devices, spanning academic, industry, and government participants. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Calgary and a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo, with postdoctoral research in organic electronic materials completed in Canada and Germany.
Lauren brings over a decade of experience translating research capacity into funded, multi-stakeholder partnerships, including securing major NSERC, CFI, and provincial/federal funding. She has served on Canada’s Semiconductor Council Workforce Talent Development Working Group and the Board of Directors for the Semiconductor Ecosystem and Centre for Talent and Research.
