Event Details

Explore the filter design process for mmWave and 5G band requirements in this webinar. Starting with a set of specification requirements, we will take you step-by-step from filter synthesis, to design simulation, and finally to real-time test and tuning measurement. Ansys HFSS will be used to run the EM simulations and a recorded video example will demonstrate the real-time test and tuning workflow using a  R&S ZNB series VNA. SynMatrix, a microwave filter design and test tuning platform, will be used to help optimize the design and test and measurement workflows and provide additional tools to simplify the design experience. 

The webinar will utilize multiple use cases to help illustrate various techniques and filter design engineering approaches. 

Presenter Bio: Diamond Liu  

Diamond Liu (XunLiu) is a senior RF/microwave engineer with more than 13 years of design and hands-on experience. He has previous work experience in Spinner Telecommunication, Nokia, Sinclair Technologies, COMDEV (acquired by Honeywell Aerospace), and Zebra Technologies where he led various design projects involving filters, multiplexers, and antennae to name a few. He is also the founder of SynMatrix360 Technologies (now SynMatrix Technologies Inc.). Diamond holds a masters degree from the University of Saskatchewan where he specialized in the research areas of RF/microwave components, circuits, antennae, and passive components.
